Growing up between the rural Midwest and the insulated society of the East has created an awareness of class and the particulars that separate us. These cultural differences are expressed through collage, photography, pattern and drawings that convey both an upbringing from a parent of immigrant parents and a parent born into an established American family. I also seek inspiration from lost and forgotten images adapted in a personal way. These images revive the past for me and recall people and events that occurred.
In 1996, I moved to the Hudson Valley in New York State.
